The Moon--Only One of God's Awesome Creations

Just a quick post because I really have to get ready to go to work!!

I was leaving for work yesterday morning, and the most awesome moon was in the sky. So, I reached into my purse for my camera. Here is the picture of the moon yesterday morning as I left for work. I just had to share this with you!!

And God said, "Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to marks seasons and days and years, and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. God made two great lights--the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning--the fourth day......Genesis 1:14-19

I saw that gorgeous moon on Saturday morning when I had to take the kids to the church for a high school retreat. Isn't it something how God can use the beauty of the moon to connect those of us who may be hundreds of miles away.

Maybe the sky has always has such beauty but it has seemed to me that there have been fabulous sights such as this moom in the heavenlies for a year or so.

When I need to know that I know God is....I stroll out and take in the sky. Oh, my! What always takes my breath is that this exact sky will never be again...take it in because tomorrow will distinctly different.

Thanks for reminder: look up.

Beautiful picture Beth! I took a picture of it that night. I was talking with someone the other day too about how this verse shows that God means DAY when He says it and not 1000 years.
"And there was evening, and there was morning--the fourth day".

Have a great day!

Beth,

That is a great shot of the moon! I am in awe of the beauty that God sets before us both night and day. And, how often do I get too busy to enjoy it!

Have a blessed day! Sandy

Awesome Beth...may I have this photo? It's a keeper that's for sure and for more reasons then appears here.

My song from your Playlist that came on for me was "MIGHTY TO SAVE"

Yes HE IS!!!

And His Light reaches the darkness corners of the world through His Son/sun and moon, too but mostly through His Word and the words of sisters in Christ Jesus! There are signs and seasons...but all things brought into HIS LIGHT are given His blessing to change, to grow, to mature, to be separated from the world...He separates light from darkness and gives us eyes to see.

Now what we do with this Truth is our own free will...but He calls us to follow The WAY the TRUTH and the LIGHT and GIVES us LIFE here in His abundance and eternally! But we must choose to ACT...to OBEY...to
know the Truth that sets us free!

THANK YOU SO MUCH...for shining this Light into my Life. I will never look at the moon or the sun without thinking of you & our friendship & Our Friendship. I look at the skies often day & night.
Bless you for sharing!
