ABC's of THE WORD--V

You know how it goes in blogland!! Someone finds you on another blog, they visit you, you visit them and there you find something interesting!

This happened to me this week, and I met Grey Like Snuffie who every Thursday is doing ABC's of the Word. So, I decided to join in with her. All you need to do is find a verse with a word or words with the letter of the week in it and post it!! If you're interested in joining in this fun venture, visit Grey Like Snuffie. There you can see all the participants and perhaps join in yourself!

This week the letter is "V", and here is the verses I have chosen:

How many are your works, O LORD!
In wisdom you made them all;
the earth is full of your creatures.
There is the sea, VAST and spacious,
teeming with creatures beyond number--
living things both large and small.

Psalm 104:24-25

VAST: Of great or immense proportions, a very large quantity in size, amount and space.

When I read and study this verse, the VASTNESS of all that God has created and has in His control, I wonder that He evens finds time for me. Yet, He does.

My Father,

I thank you for finding time for me each and every moment of my life--for always being there for me in all Your faithfulness. Please lead and guide me through this day with the great promise of Your unfailing love.

In your precious son Jesus' name,

Amen.

For my Thankful Thursday post, please stop by and visit me here.

Beth

Beth, I love this post and what a great word "vast" is!

Isn't it amazing how one link in blogland can lead to another! It is really a great adventure.

Hope you have a blessed day!

Yep...it's gone!!! So I'll try to recapture what I had...which I know I wrote & said, I should have posted this by now...because it was so much...but I was so inspired & impressed by His Holy Spirit...how VAST is His unfailing love!!!

"Verily, Verily, I Say Unto You, He That Believeth on Me, the Works That I Do, Shall He Do Also: and Greater Works Than These Shall He Do; Because I Go Unto My Father. If Ye Shall Ask Anything in My Name I Will Do It."

This was my first verse I shared here for my ABC "V" verse...then these:

Mark 13:30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

Mark 14:9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

VERILY...meaning TRULY...and when it's repeated it really means Jesus was speaking forth truth...

and I am so aMazed at the beauty of the VASTness you have shared in your beautiful verse & prayer of HIS VAST UNFAILING LOVE...

Yet the first concept that came to my mind was the "V" for the VINE and how we are connected by that VINE...as I abide in Him and He abides in me...but I thought of so many different words with VINE...it was endless...so then the WORD VERILY was stirred up in my mind!

But I will leave you with this, my friend from the Song of Songs 7:12 "Let us get up early to the VINEyards; Let us see whether the VINE hath budded, And its blossom is open, And the pomegranates are in flower: There will I give thee my love."

Now that is VAST!!! that is UNFAILING...this is WHO are GOD is!

Vast---a word for me to ponder in terms of God---wonderful. And know that there is no right or wrong way to post the weekly verse. Sometimes I just post the verse and nothing extra. Everyone is different---my only rule---BE FREE! :)

We are without a church home right now in a little town and I am in awe of how God has used the blogging world to encourage me and bless me and even hold me accountable by allowing me to post some "ugly" sometimes. So God's idea for a weekly scripture has BLESSED me so much, it really has stirred up His Word in me and I needed that in this season. 39 years with Him and He still amazes me how He works, who He can use---I just can't begin to imagine I know His ways.

Thanks for joining us, you've already been used by our God.

Glad you had a good Christmas. I can see how you miss your daughter more when you see her. My brothers and I didn't realize how much we missed each other (or how much we were missing) until they moved up here. Anyhow, have to get out the door in a bit, so I gotta go. Blessings my friend. I'll stop by again soon.

PS, gonna download this song. It's beautiful.

I love that you have joined ABC's of the Word on Thursday's. I also love the verse you selected. I, also, feel so small in the vastness that is God's but so very grateful that He does have time for me!
Look forward to more visits to your blog!

Hi Beth,
I love your verse, and what you said about it. I also like what you said in the beginning. When someone comments on my blog, I go read their blog. Nice to meet you, and I hope we meet like this again!

Beth - thank you for sharing. Again, exactly what I needed to read today. Thanks for being such an obedient VESSLE and VEHICLE of God's word.

Nice job on your weight ticker. I need to refocus (again)...okay, meaning I need to step on the scale and see where things are. I have about the same amount to lose. Maybe we can take part of this walk together.
