So, I have chosen this song, in honor of my mother. She was often critical of me, but I knew that she loved me. Was she able to look past all my mistakes, all my disobediences, all my faults, all the trouble that I somehow managed to get into, all the turmoil that I, myself, caused within my family? Was she able to look beyond the sometimes mean and hateful things that I said to her?
I often wondered about this. When I speak of my past to others, I have even had some say that they "were glad they weren't my mother".
But, she accepted me as I was, always believing that God would eventually come into my life and bring out the person that I was meant to be.
My only sorrow is that she did not live to see this occur in my life. I know that she can see me from Heaven though, and I'm sure she danced and sang with the angels the day I accepted Christ as my Savior.
So, Mom--this one is for you:
By: Charlotte Elliott
Just as I am, without one plea
But that thy blood was shed for me
And that thou bidd’st me come to thee
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot,
To thee, whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need, in thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just a I am; thy love unknown
Has broken every barrier down;
Now to be thine, yea, thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Could you do this for your children? The answer is YES, because a mothers love is unconditional, because God hand chose your mother for you and you for your children, and He knew that the love you would have and that would be given to you would be true and everlasting.

Blessings Beth...I believe Aunt Kathy has told you it best, and I totally agree but now you ARE doing the same with & for your adult children, LOVING them inspite & beyond whatever...so they will know the Father's LOVE & come to HIM.
Maybe TSMSS will forgive us for posting the same song,
since you have now personalized it...(good thing) my YouTube is different. You think next time we should check with each other and coordinate efforts!(lol) I'm glad you posted this to your mother!
I LOVE YOU "JUST AS YOU ARE"
A beautiful song ~
Thank God He answers mother's prayers, and He loves us with an everlasting love. Sometimes our children don't know how much we love them, I believe. Thanks for visiting and commenting on my hymn.
Bless you dear.
