This is the January 2009 KAL from Rachel's Knitting Room. And this is a special cloth because it was designed by Aunt Kathy, a friend of mine.
Knowing Aunt Kathy, I knew there would be a heart in this design somewhere, and yes, there was!!
My oldest daughter, Cara, told me on Wednesday evening that she would like a pair of mittens to match her scarf and hat that I made her for Christmas. So, I started these last night.
Sorry for the blurriness of the picture, but my eyes were a little blurry also when I took this picture at 4 a.m. this morning!
Now, here's the problem--Cara's birthday is on this coming Tuesday. Do you think I'll have these completed in time? I hope so.
I also have a pair of socks that I want to get started on and then there's the mid-January KAL from Monthly Dishcloths just starting today.
Well, I guess i'd better go for now in order to be able to get some sleep, go to work tomorrow and finish Cara's mittens after work. WHEW!!! Honestly, work is just getting in the way of my knitting career!

You are very talented, love you.
4 AM??? Oh honey. Go to bed! I promise, knitting will go better after some sleep.
Wow...that is beautiful! Ms. Talented!!! Hmmmmm...4 AM sounds like some of my hours :-) Get some rest, my dear.
WOW, I would never be functional at 4 A.M. I have to make myself do other necessary things before I can sit to knit.
Beth, you are my new hero if you can knit mittens at 4am!!! I don't think I would be able to pull that off! Great job! You are making tremendous progress.
Blessings, Sandy
I knit, but you REALLY KNIT!!! Love it...stitch by stitch with prayers all over the yarn and blessings singing to the tune of the knitting needles beating together!!!
Ummm...covering her head and hands and feet...Mother Love filled with blessing from Almighty God!!! Hallelujah!
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who takes pictures in the middle of the night for my blog! lol I just love that dishcloth, how beautiful it is!! I'm sure you'll be able to finish Cara's mittens in time for her birthday...knit at work!! LOL xoxo
I used to knit all the time. It is so relaxing. I think you should just quit your day job. LOL!
The mittens are going to be lovely! You're such a good momma. I'm sure your kids love you to pieces.
Beautiful work & such a gift! I'm praying your eyes & time are well so you can complete them or at least one. I just think that job has to give you more time off for this knitting career and goals!!!
I love your humor but the problem is I think you're more serious than
making a joke.
Just show Cara ...WORK IN PROGRESS
...you love them so and show your love in many ways. May her birthday be so special that she won't care!
You are such a honey...warmHarte!
