I finally finished my January KAL for Monthly Dishcloths. I have another one started for Rachel's Knitting Room which should be finished in another day or two.
Here's a picture of my first dishcloth of the year:
In case you can't tell, it is an ice skate. The color is really blue, and I have no idea why it looks green!!
You might ask yourself what I do with all these dishcloths. Well, remember I have two daughters who are constantly asking for these, and I actually have very few left of the many that I have made. They are quick, inexpensive, and completing one gives you a feeling of accomplishment!! A project started--a project completed!!
I'm also keeping up with one square a day for The Ghana Project, but I'm going to wait and take a picture of these when I have one month completed. If you have extra yarn (and come on, I know all knitters and crocheters do!), please look into this very worthwhile project. I finished a square before i went to work one morning!! Very little time at all, very little expense, and you're giving your time and talent to someone who is need of some comfort! Stop by and visit their site. It's very interesting and full of designs for so many different squares!
Last night, I made a batch of Tea's Rosy Citrus Marmalade. I haven't tasted it yet, but it sure does look yummy!!
I would love to be able to show you the pictures of the snow we were supposed to have received. Six to 7 inches was the prediction. Did we receive this? No!! Instead we have about 1/2 inch of snow with a new glaze of ice from the again freezing rain!!
I don't know about the rest of Central Pennsylvania, but I'm getting pretty tired of ice. Snow--bring on the snow!!
If you'd like to stop by The Power of Your Love, I have my Then Sings My Soul Saturday and my Super Simple Sunday posted there.
I think I'm going to be iced in today, so I'll be knitting along while the laundry is being done!!

Oh Beth, how disappointing that the snow bypassed you. I know you were ready to enjoy the beauty of those snowflakes. Hopefully you will see them soon.
The iceskate turned out great! I love knitting dishcloths/washcloths. They are portable and quickly completed. I keep a stack on hand to give as gifts and they are always well received.
Hope you were able to get a lot of knitting and laundry done. Enjoy your Sunday! Sandy
That jam looks beautiful!
Let us know, perhaps share the recipe?
Lovingly,

Dear Aunt Kathy,
I've been longing for a get away!! If I leave now, how long will it take me to get there?

LOVE the ICE SKATE!!!
Blessings Beth...
Can you believe how short my previous comment...you did not think I would leave it like that???
I expect to see this linked to Mission 4 Monday! I was going to link the Ghana Project(it was 2007)
but I guess that's where all the main info is...
I don't knit...you think I can learn? Wanna teach me...I know that I could bless many here but they would just want more...and wonder
what else I have to give them.
I know "bad attitude". Wait until you read what I wrote for Monday
Memory...B.I.B.L.E....oh Lord, change my heart & mind to see
with Your eyes and heart!
You really have ICE on the mind.
Or better yet want for SNOW!
Love your beautiful jars of marmalade! Enjoy knitting &
getting the laundry done with lots of worship & praise music!!!
Buckets of Blessing!!! Supernatural opportunities...knit away!!!
Nice work sweetie, love your new look.
Your marmalade looks wonderful! I hope you love it as much as we do. :)
We've been snow-deprived for years..here's hopin'. :)
I hear ya, we've been misrepresented in the snow category all season as well. Today seems to be providing, though. The marmalade looks good. I've been donating squares to Close Knit Hugs and have been thinking about donating locally, but when I'm ready for a new destination for my scrap yarn squares (cos every little bit needs to be used) I'll put that next on my list!! thanks for letting me know about it.
