I have two completed projects to share with you today:
This is the neck warmer I made for my friend Linda for her Christmas present. She has a charcoal gray winter coat, and I thought this would go very nicely with it. I made this a little longer than the pattern calls for so she could tuck the ends inside the front of her coat. I don't have a picture of her wearing it yet, but as soon as I do I'll be sure to show you!
I had to try it on to see where I wanted the buttons placed, so I took a picture to share with all of you! I like the idea of a neck warmer--keeps you warm from the cold without all of the long ends of a scarf getting in the way sometimes!
And here is my latest dishcloth--the mid January KAL from Monthly Dishcloths. This is called Cheyanna after the designer's daughter. A quick knit and can be used in a solid or a variegated color.
That's all for today!! I'm sick at home with a strep throat, and I'm back to bed for some rest to recuperate!!
Oh, and I'm still waiting for someone to sign up for "Pay It Forward" from yesterday's post!! Won't at least one person join me in spreading some love around? This isn't expensive, takes little time, gives someone else a surprise in their mailbox (instead of bills!), and I know a lot of you have a lot of talent and love to share! PLEASE!!!!
Beth

You do such lovely work, hope you feel better soon. I love you.
I love the neck warmer. We all have so many scarves and enjoy the fact that they can be pulled up over the face but that has such clean lines....would look wonderful with a long dress coat.
I wish I had this kind of talent. Love the colors and design. Thanks for sharing your beautiful workmanship.

I'm sorry you're not feelin' well today, Beth. I've never had strep throat, but I hear it's terrible. Hope it's better soon. :)
The scarf looks perfect for a wool coat! Very nice pattern. Love the dishcloth, too.
Such a beautiful neck warmer you made for your friend! I love the idea of it having buttons so that it stays closed on the neck, not like a scarf that often opens up. Also love the pattern on your dishcloth, would make washing dishes a joy rather than a chore! lol xoxo
Awww Beth...I'm so sorry that you are sick and the culprit is strep & your work! I'm glad that you're home and can go back to bed. So do just that!
You have completed two beautiful projects. I love Linda's gift but I'm sure that you are the true gift! Your friendship is priceless!
The dishcloths/washclothes have such a beautiful pattern that I'd not want to use them but framed them for show if I completed one.
Guess that would be a miracle. I sure hope that this really is enjoyable and good therapy as
you told me but please take it
easy & get well!
Please Lord, send Beth some Pay It Forward participants! Thank You for Denise! Bless her sweet bear heart!
I love that neck warmer Beth! What a great idea.
Now I'm going to go read your pay it forward post to see what that's all about. No promises. ;)
