As far as the Tribbles, I weaved the end in and out and pulled fairly tightly. Then I took a second string and repeated it, pulling a little tighter. (Not my idea - I read it somewhere.) It seemed to work OK but I haven't washed it in the machine yet. I'll let you know how that turns out!
